Recommended Products

I am asked many times "What do you recommend . . ." for this or that. So I compiled a small list of the products we find very useful and feel all horse owners should have on hand at all times. I am a skeptic and I think they are way to many products out there that do not deliver what it says it will, so if you find a product we recommend its earned its way and has proven to me that its worth your money.

Flesh RX ... skin conditioning system.

A. Scar reduction and callous dissolution.

B. Stimulates hair re-growth.

C. Prevents bit rubs, girth sores, saddle sores, rub sores, tail brace rubs and helps re-growth hair loss caused by rubs.

D. Relieves excessive skin scurf, crusting, itchy mane and tail, scrapes , treat dry patches in the ears, restores pigment.

E. Protects/heals insect bites, circular skin lesions, dew poisoning, resolves pasture fungus, clears up irritations and scratches on backs of pasterns.

F. Conditioning agent to improve dry, brittle and cracked hooves and restore healthy horn growth.

FARRIER SAYS: This line of products has proven to me it has a place in the equine industry. The products are somewhat new on the market and I have had the pleasure of watching it grow and evolve. The product designer is enthusiastic about this product and willing to share with you over the phone and/or email its true benefits. I have seen with my own eyes hair re-growth, scare reduction, and a case where a horse had a extremely bad fence cut that the stitches popped lose and was treated with the products and closed the wound in about 20 days. FARRIER SAYS: This product is a must have for the horse owner. To many times I have seen horses start showing signs of a abscess and the owner not have the needed supplies to deal with the problem. The day of trying to make a horse keep his foot in a water bucket are gone in my opinion. The kit comes with EPSOM SALT POULTICE so no soaking. I can get you the Epsom salt poultice if you do not wont the whole kit.

DURASOLE SOLE HARDENER

An Iodine based preparation formulated to harden the equine exfoliation sole. It is extremely effective and does not affect the proximal sensitive sole. It works by swelling and thickening the cell membranes of the exfoliating sole. A little bit goes a long way.

FARRIER SAYS: Without any question I feel the best sole hardener on the market to date. Get you a old brush and place it on the sole heel to heel and on frog every day for two weeks. Then it’s a maintenance issue then reapply about 2 times a week.

HOOF FREEZE

Freezex Hoof Freeze aids in preventing and treating pain and soreness in horses' hooves, particularly tender-footed horses. It should be applied prior to races, competitions, or hard workouts. Freezex Hoof Freeze also combats thrush and white line disease.

FARRIER SAYS: I use this daily and think its one of the best products to do routine maintenance on thrush and white line. I will use the Durasole on the sole and the hoof freeze on the frog. That combination I found to work for me everyone has their own way of doing things and that’s mine. In my opinion I prefer Hoof freeze on thrush than any other medicines. Use gloves when working with this product and do not get on the horses legs.

MAGIC CUSHION

Magic Cushion is the only anti-inflammatory and analgesic hoof packing available to the equine athlete. This unique product is guaranteed to reduce concussion, pain, and trauma that horses experience when in heavy training.

FARRIER SAYS: A must have for equine athletes after a hard day pack this product in the bottom of the foot for comfort. This product has a anti-inflammatory that cant be beat by any other product in my opinion.
